Open cut excavation is the traditional method for sewer lateral construction, repair or replacement. Open cut excavation consists of digging a trench down to and exposing the existing pipe so that it can be repaired or replaced and then backfilled. Pipe bursting technology allows us to install new pipe without the need for a traditional construction trench, leading to less environmental impact and disruption to the public. Pipe bursting fractures a pipe and displaces the fragments outwards while a new pipe is drawn in to replace the old pipe.
Ideally storm water is absorbed into the ground, filtered and replenishes aquifers or flows into streams and rivers, but pavement and roofs prevent precipitation from naturally soaking into the ground. Instead, the water runs rapidly into storm drains, sewer systems, and drainage ditches. This can cause downstream flooding, stream bank erosion, increased turbidity, habitat destruction, combined sewer overflows, infrastructure damage, and contaminated streams, rivers and coastal water. Envirenew Inc. installs storm water management systems including pipe, inlets, and underground retention systems.
